This page describes the limited data used by the current website preview, not a claim that the full public-beta privacy release gate has passed.

Account and session data

Registration stores your email address and a salted password hash in Cloudflare D1. The password itself is not retained. A necessary, secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in; its token is hashed in server storage. Authentication attempts are rate-limited to prevent abuse.

No advertising or tracking analytics

This frontend does not install advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Cloudflare processes HTTP traffic and may retain operational logs under its service policies.

Postcode explorer

If you submit a postcode, the server sends that postcode to Postcodes.io. Do not submit confidential data. Your account email and session are not sent to that service.

Payments and production data

The preview does not take payments or connect your account to the developing BritDatum dataset API. Please use a non-sensitive email account for evaluation and do not upload personal or confidential datasets.

Session control

Sign out from your workspace to revoke the current session. Account self-service and verified recovery features are being expanded; do not rely on this development preview for production operations.
