BritDatum is an independent service, not an official publisher. A source's presence here does not mean its dataset is currently served by the BritDatum API.

Available interactive lookup

The postcode explorer explicitly queries Postcodes.io, an independent public service. Its responses identify the upstream service and retrieval time. Requests are not billed as BritDatum API usage.

• ONS Postcode Directory — postcode and geography releases, with licence-specific attribution.
• Companies House — public register. Production access remains blocked pending independent-controller privacy controls.
• Police.uk — anonymised street-level crime and outcomes, subject to publisher limitations.
• Environment Agency — flood monitoring and source-specific geographic coverage.
• HM Land Registry — Price Paid Data and its published exclusions.

A retrieval timestamp records when a response was obtained. A publisher update timestamp, when supplied, is distinct. Neither guarantees completeness or suitability for a particular decision.
